Port Security (ISPS):

Elleholm Port facility is subject to the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS ), which aims to protect ships and port facilities, and is regulated in Sweden by the act (2004:487) on maritime security.

The rules provide some basic requirements, including making security assessments and security plans for port facilities and measures to prevent unauthorized access. In port of Elleholm this means that all access to the port facility must be checked, and that the opportunities for both unauthorized as unauthorized cargo entering the port facility shall be eliminated according to the ISPS Code.

The Swedish Transport Agency, as regulatory authority, have established and approved security assessments and plans for port of Elleholm in accordance with the ISPS Code. Port Facilitiy is considered by this as SPA.

According to the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS) all visitors, cargo and vehicles intended to enter port shall be preadviced. Preadvice shall be made latest 24 hours before arrival or according to agreement. Visitors must be able to present valid adequate ID. Visitors, cargoes and vehicles will be escorted in to Port Facility by PFSO /Ass. PFSO.
